Has your selector productivity been stagnated over the past decade?

Have you implemented slotting programs to help reduce selector travel, but feel you've maxed out your gains?

Selectors in most DCs still spend more than a third of their day traveling rather than picking product. Therefore, reducing travel is the fastest path to improving labor productivity and throughput.

In trials with several food and grocery DCs, Lucas Dynamic Work Optimization demonstrated travel savings ranging from 20-30 percent through optimized batching and pick path optimization.

How does DWO work?

Lucas Dynamic Work Optimization uses information from your WMS or ERP and applies multiple algorithms and a digital map of your DC to group together two or more order pallets in batches for picking (batch optimization). It also defines an optimal pick sequence or pick path – including prioritizing base items – to further reduce travel.
