Today the Supreme Court ruled that states can ban transgender girls and women from playing on the teams that match who they are. We need to say plainly: this is wrong, and it will hurt children.
This ruling claims to protect "women's sports." What it actually does is sacrifice real, girls and women on the altar of an abstraction.

We believe every person bears the image of God, not in spite of who they are but in the particularity of who they are. A faith that claims to follow a Christ who reached past every line his society drew cannot turn around and tell a person she doesn't belong on her own team.

We're not changing our minds, and we're not going anywhere.
