This Norway maple was in rough shape! I don't don't get the opportunity to speed line limbs often, but it is definitely my favorite way to rig down material. Gravity is a strong and predictable force, but when there are hydrangeas the lilacs to protect beneath the tree, speed lining is the solution. Its basically the same concept as a zip line and just as fun!
My client was tired of cleaning up after this buckeye tree, which produces large nuts. It was also about 2 feet away from the neighbors service lines. I got to enjoy some nice views of Long Island Sound from up in the canopy. It was a funny day, one second it was sunny, then cloudy and at one point it was hailing.
