We work to end hunger across the state of Wisconsin! Thanks to WEAU 13 News for spotlighting the $25,000 Connecting Farms to Families grant we provided to West CAP to purchase meat and cheese for its pantry. Without this financial support, neighbors in need would not find these locally sourced items on pantry shelves.

Juneteenth is a day to celebrate and honor Black culture and history while commemorating the official end of slavery in the United States. At Hunger Task Force, we stand in solidarity with the Black community and are committed to fighting food insecurity and ensuring everyone has access to nutritious food. As we honor this day, we also reflect on the importance of Equity in our mission to feed people today and end future hunger.

Through Connecting Farms to Families, Hunger Task Force is strengthening hunger relief across Wisconsin while investing in local producers and rural communities.
As the recipient of a $2.5 million grant through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, Hunger Task Force is using 100% of grant funds to support Wisconsin nonprofit food assistance programs, helping pantries statewide stock their shelves with healthy, locally produced foods.
In Boyceville, Wisconsin, the West CAP Food Pantry received locally sourced beef, pork and cheese from nearby producers, including Ellsworth Dairy Cooperative and Burnett Dairy. For West CAP, the program means more variety for neighbors facing rising grocery costs, and these strategic purchases help keep dollars in the local economy.
The Connecting Farms to Families Program enables West CAP to Stock its Pantry with Locally Sourced Beef, Pork and Cheese - Hunger Task Force Through Connecting Farms to Families, Hunger Task Force uses 100% of grant funds to support hunger relief programs across Wisconsin including West CAP which works to promote the self-sufficiency of low-income families in the rural communities of west central Wisconsin.
