It is widely considered one of the biggest wins for renewable energy and has fundamentally shaped the solar industry as we know it. So how does this hefty incentive work? How soon does it end? Hi! My name is Lanier - the woman behind Solar Goals ☀️ Last year I made the switch to solar energy at my home, and it quite literally changed my entire life. When I learned exactly how rooftop solar energy works, my perspective on the climate crisis finally seemed brighter. For the first time in many years, I felt hope that the transition to green energy is not only possible, but inevitable.
That hope inspired me to take a leap of faith out of my former career in journalism and video production - and in 2020 I joined the same solar company who installed my panels!
These are just a few of the hundreds of happy solar households I have met since joining the industry. I spend each day traveling across the Southeast to educate people and help them install solar on their homes - and it has led me to a realization: the biggest reason why EVERYONE hasn’t gone solar yet is a simple lack of information about how it really works. Most people I meet each day have no idea that solar isn’t just something you do out of the goodness of your heart to help the planet, it is also one of the best financial investments you can make. Learning how simple and affordable solar really is, it’s astounding that solar energy still has a reputation for being inaccessible, expensive, or complicated.
So instead of educating one person at a time, driving to houses one by one, I decided it’s time to put on my old mass communications hat. My dream for Solar Goals is to let the world see what the solar industry sees right now - an unstoppable force for good that will help save the world while saving us all money!
