This was an interesting comment because I don't think there's a simple right or wrong answer.
Some people believe West Chester needs much more preserved open space. Others believe we need additional housing to meet demand. I understand both perspectives.
Personally, I think the goal should be balance.
One of the things I've always appreciated about this area is that you can enjoy parks and green spaces while still having a vibrant borough with restaurants, businesses, and neighborhoods people want to live in.
We've also seen important conversations about preserving larger tracts of land around West Chester, which shows the community cares deeply about protecting what makes this area unique.
Growth is inevitable. The real question is how we manage it.
To me, West Chester has generally done a good job trying to strike that balance, even if there will always be different opinions on where that line should be.
