A few things you'll never catch me doing as a realtor. 🛑
Real estate can feel like a sales game from the outside, and I get why!
Some people are simply focused on hitting the number, closing the deal, and moving on to the next one. That's just never been the way I want to work.
For me, this job is so much more than handing over a set of keys.
It's helping someone find a place that actually fits the way they want to live, and being someone they can count on long after the closing paperwork is done.
The agents worth working with are the ones who treat your money, your time, and your future like it matters.
If you've been looking for someone who'll be honest with you even when it isn't the easy thing to say, I'd love to chat.
I'm a local and real estate agent helping people buy and sell in our area. Follow for more real estate tips and local recs.

The worst real estate advice sounds right until it costs you money.
I hear the same myths every week. From clients, from DMs, from people repeating something they read online without checking if it actually held up.
Some of these are harmless. Others have cost people tens of thousands or set their plans back by months.
I'd rather be the agent who gives you the honest answer now than the one who stays quiet and lets you learn it the hard way.
If something on this list surprised you, send me a message. I'd love to hear which one (and answer the questions you've been holding onto).

If you're thinking about selling your home, remember this...
Work with an agent that demonstrates they go the extra mile.
One who avoids a 'rinse and repeat' sales plan they use on every home.
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all listing strategies.
Every home is different. The neighborhood, the layout, the timing, what you need from the sale.
I take the time to understand the nuances and what yours needs to sell well.
Then I build a strategy around your specific situation. If you have questions or want to talk strategy, I'm a DM away.

Homeowners are spending more than ever on renovations — but higher costs don’t always mean higher resale value.
Construction costs, labor, and materials have climbed dramatically over the last few years, and many sellers are putting serious money into projects expecting a dollar-for-dollar return. That’s not always how today’s market works.
The biggest return often comes from improvements that make a home feel well-maintained, move-in ready, and easy for buyers to say yes to.
Fresh paint.
Clean landscaping.
Updated lighting.
Curb appeal.
Simple cosmetic improvements that create a strong first impression.
Meanwhile, over-customizing or overspending on major renovations can sometimes price a home above what buyers expect for the neighborhood.
In this market, strategy matters more than ever. The goal isn’t always spending more — it’s spending smarter based on buyer behavior, competition, and current market trends.
