Luvfurmutts family, it is with a heavy heart, that we make this post. Dianne Rowland, a former volunteer, foster, and adopter, has passed. She left behind her beloved fur family. It's taken me months to reach out, but I wanted to let you know that a Luv Fur Mutts Alumn, Joey (Jo Jo) passed away in July, after a short but intense illness. He was 13 years old and died peacefully in our arms.
We adopted the 7 year old Jo Jo (Joey) in Cincinnati, Ohio at Luv Fur Mutts in 2016. I cannot say enough wonderful things about adopting an older dog, especially as he was my first dog. He and I bonded immediately as if we had always been together.
He was spoiled rotten, traveling back and forth between a family farm in Dry Ridge Kentucky, or being the biggest City Boy in New York, where he would go to dog daycare 3 days out of the week and on weekends, the Saturday farmers market and dog park.
We feel his loss so strongly, as we were a whole family, and now we are not. But also, I'm sure we are not alone in this feeling.
I just wanted to thank you so much for allowing me to have a beautiful seven years with Jo Jo. And finding him a forever home.
