🌿 Big News for San Benito and ALL nature lovers! 🌿

The City of San Benito has been awarded a $750,000 grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission to improve San Benito Wetlands! 🐦🌸

This funding will help bring:
✅ New restroom & interpretive kiosk
✅ Pollinator gardens & native habitat enhancements
✅ Walking trails & benches with wheelchair access
✅ Bird blinds, environmentally friendly lighting, & more

"This grant allows us to protect one of San Benito’s most important nature areas while creating a safe and welcoming space for families to enjoy," said Mayor Ricardo Guerra.

The project also aligns with our 2025 Parks Master Plan, helping expand green spaces, improve amenities, and preserve local ecosystems for generations to come! 🌳
