Religion and Health taught by our exuberant Pastor Don is one of the core classes of the HEALTH program. Students learn how to connect science and Scripture cohesively to share with people in the community and their coaching contacts. Enrolled along with the HEALTH students are 1st-year nurses and theology majors who benefit from this class to use in their respective fields.

Principles of Health is an informative class taught by Dr. Neil Nedley. This class shares the latest scientific research on the top leading causes of diseases in the United States and prevention from these diseases occurring. HEALTH students use this knowledge in their community programs and individual health coaching sessions. Additionally, students from the Nursing, Masters in Theology, and Natural Science program are in this class to use the information in their respective fields.
Mental health is a growing issue developing all around the world. That is why in the HEALTH program, we equip our students with tools and resources to help people dealing with depression and anxiety. In addition, in the HEALTH program, students obtain practical experience leading out in a community class and being facilitators in small group discussions. The HEALTH Programs hosts multiple community health education programs to show people how to live a healthy life. For example, the Community Cooking Class attracts many people to learn how to make delicious food healthily. We have a phenomenal group of students enrolled in the HEALTH program this year! They have been busy in class and out of class hosting cooking schools and doing outreach in the community.
