We were honored to receive the Community Benefit Award for collaboration with our partners Christa Construction, LLC, Passero Associates, Herrick-Saylor Engineers, Kennedy Mechanical Contractors, Inc., Radec Electric Corporation, and Sustainable Comfort, Inc. to bring Edna Craven Estates to life. We all have a responsibility to do our part in the City of Rochester.

Last week we celebrated the groundbreaking of State Street Apartments in Olean, NY! This large scale renovation will create 46 units of affordable housing and provide supportive services for residents. We look forward to completion in late 2023!

Thank you to Monroe County Executive Adam Bello for taking the time to tour the CDS Monarch day programs and our Edna Craven Estates and to learn about all that we are doing here at CDS Life Transitions! Our day habilitation programs and housing initiatives are just some of the ways that we continue to provide compassionate, holistic, and exceptional support for the people we serve.

It is exciting to see so much progress being made on our Edna Craven Estates project! We look forward to the supportive community that will be created in these 7 buildings and 164 units.

It was an honor to have Rochester Mayor Malik Evans, and members of his staff, Tamara Mayberry, Victor Saunders, and Shirley Green, visit our Edna Craven Estates that will be opening soon. We share a vision for safe and supportive communities and are excited for the impact Edna Craven Estates will have in our city.

We were delighted to host Kerri Neifeld, the New York State Commissioner of the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, and her colleagues yesterday! We had a full afternoon with a presentation from our CDS Monarch Handicapables group, an information session, and a tour of our Edna Craven Estates from Sankar Sewnauth, Andrew Sewnauth, Justin Mirando, Mike Seaman (of Christa Construction) and others. Thank you Commissioner Neifeld for taking the time to learn all about what we do here at CDS Life Transitions!
