This September, Warrior Spirit is launching Rise & Reclaim - a year-long wellness initiative created by women veterans, for women veterans.

Sponsored in part by H-E-B Operation Appreciation, Rise & Reclaim is designed to help women veterans build meaningful connections, strengthen mental wellness and rediscover purpose through peer support, education, therapeutic experiences and community.

This isn't about fixing anyone.

It's about finding your people.
Trying new things.
Sharing your story when you're ready.
Laughing, learning, healing, serving and growing ... together.

🌿 Two Ways to Participate

Rise & Reclaim Cohort One: Become part of a small group of women veterans who will journey together throughout the year through peer support, mental wellness education and therapeutic experiences. This close-knit cohort is designed to foster authentic relationships, trust and lasting community.

Community Participant: For those who are interested in participating only in the education and activities throughout the year.

Women veterans who participate in Rise & Reclaim peer support circles and/or in-person activities will receive a Warrior Spirit Rise & Reclaim t-shirt. We want every woman who joins us to feel like she's part of this growing community.

Throughout the year, women veterans will have opportunities to experience:

🐴 Equine experiences
⛵ Sailing adventures
🏃🏻‍♀️ Fitness classes
🥾 Nature hikes
🎨 Creative workshops (art, woodworking)
🌱 Gardening experiences
🍳 Healthy cooking classes
🚙 Off-road adventures
🎙️ A Women Veterans Mental Wellness Podcast Panel at Pearland Podcast Studio
❤️ Service projects, including serving alongside Overcomers Outreach
… and more as our community grows.

🌎 Join From Wherever You Are

One of the things we're most excited about is making Rise & Reclaim accessible to women veterans wherever they call home.
All peer support circles will be offered virtually, allowing women veterans from across Texas and throughout the United States to participate.

Our wellness education sessions will also be offered virtually, while ALL of our therapeutic activities and experiences will take place in person throughout the Greater Houston and Gulf Coast region.

Whether you're nearby or hundreds of miles away, you'll have opportunities to connect with other women veterans who understand your journey.

Full Circle Moment🇺🇸

Honored to have been a part of the unveiling of Joe E. Ramirez Blvd this morning. I met this amazing Hero six years ago when we helped him celebrate his 89th birthday with a car parade. He was a Korean War Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient and POW. His story is legendary and it was truly my honor to have known him. I know how proud he would have been to have this street named after him.

Country Club Luncheon😊

Making connections for Cheer Up for Vets with The Get Together-Bay Area at their luncheon today held at the Southshore Country Club. Met some great people and learned about several other amazing non-profits in our area. Thank you to my Zeta Tau sister Gayle for referring me to them.
