This Sunday April 12 is the Free Community Sunday Supper at Gathering Place Webster. We’re serving Chicken ala King and for dessert we have fresh homemade pies ! Yes Diane (the pie lady) is baking a dozen pies !

THANK YOU for your support of our recent Easter grocery bag distribution event. We served 210 families and these families received everything they need for a full Easter dinner – in addition to paper products, hygiene items, cleaning products, fresh-baked rolls, gift cards, and other extra items. We filled 450 bags!

These large collaborative events cannot happen without the support of the community. We would like to thank West Herr Ford of Webster for donating butter to all our families, The Village at Unity and The Hamlet for assembling chocolate bunny and jelly bean bags, Harborside Dental Team for collecting grocery items, Wegmans Eastway for donating grocery bags, and Dipaolo Baking Company Inc for giving us a discount on freshly-baked, delicious dinner rolls with free delivery!

Also, we would to say “Thank You” to our individual donors who provided us with grocery items for this event.

This holiday meal collaboration was a response to the increase of food insecurity in our community. Our collaboration has how held seven events and we have distributed food and other needed items to approximately 1,100+ families! Our plan is to have three events per year: Easter/Spring, Summer, and Thanksgiving/Fall.

Webster is truly a community that comes together in times of need...and what a better reason to come together than to feed our neighbors. Thank you for being a part of the solution and for your support of our collaborative efforts.
