Happy 4th of July for the 250th celebration! We hope everyone has an awesome and cool (literally, it is so hot right now) holiday weekend🇺🇸 The Visitors Center will be closed tomorrow, but you can find all the info you need at VisitWaynesboro.com.

As for what Waynesboro is doing for the semiquincentennial… you can keep the party going a little longer and celebrate next Saturday on July 11 at the GloW Drone Show in Constitution Park! Stay tuned for more deets🎇🚫🚁✨✅

Finally! A break in the weather after some seriously rough days last week. So, in the spirit of getting outside and enjoying the summer, here are some of the free activities for kids this week in Waynesboro:
📍Ride and Read at the Traffic Garden Tuesday, June 16 from 3pm - 5pm. Join Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth, the Waynesboro Public Library, and Waynesboro Parks and Recreation for story time and practice time on the Traffic Garden. Blue Ridge Children's Museum will also have free admission during the event!
📍Book Bike Visit to North Park Wednesday, June 17 from 11:30am - 1:30pm. Come for story time and a selection of books for all ages available for check out, plus you can get a library card if you don't already have one!
📍Groovin' at the Greenway every Thursday through July 2 at 6pm in Constitution Park. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a free concert and kids activities! Food trucks available.
📍Waynesboro Farmers Market- VA Summer Kick-Off with the Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth Saturday, June 20 from 9am - 1pm. Bring the kids for the bubble machine, field games, activities, POP! Club (kids can earn $5 to spend on fruits and vegetables when they taste the produce of the week) and more!
📍The new Nature Playground at Loth Springs. Open dawn to dusk daily. If you haven't been yet it's definitely worth the trip!
📍Waynesboro Street Arts Trail. All the time. Download the Visit Waynesboro app, click challenges, and visit all 30 stops on the Street Arts Trail while you answer riddles, learn fun facts and pro tips, and collect free stickers (stop in our office at 301 W Main for a free mini bucket while supplies last!)

Bonus! Some free indoor activities (because we don't judge)
📍Free kid's movies at the Wayne Theatre every Wednesday through July 29 at 10am & 1pm. This week, My Little Pony!
📍Story Time at Stone Soup Books every Saturday through July 4 at 11am.
