Greater Good G2
I want to share a story of greater good in action. This week as I was promoting the G2 teams efforts to raise awareness and funds for the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention AFSP I was told something about Samantha the youngest daughter of one of my employers. Samantha is a psychiatrist who just started her career in the field. After spending 10+ years of grueling education and training she is now in charge of a woman's clinic in California. Samantha is getting married in October and has set up her wedding page for her friends and family to get details and give links to the wedding registry. Well in addition to your normal registry options Samantha provided a link on her registry for AFSP for donations as a wedding gift. This is a true greater good action to think of others at a time like this. You go Samantha! God bless you and your continued work to help others.

February off to slow start but Gallagher family comes through last week with a donation and delivery of 30+ madonna statues to be enjoyed by residents of Sacred Heart Home in Philadelphia. Sacred Heart Home was established in 1930 by the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne. The Home is a 35-bed skilled nursing facility operated by the Sisters and dedicated to providing palliative care to persons afflicted with incurable cancer. It is open to all who meet the Admission Qualifications. There is no discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, s*x, blindness or handicap.
Since its establishment, the Sisters have lovingly served the special end-of-life needs of our patients and their family members in our homes.
Sacred Heart Home is a free home for persons who cannot afford to pay for care. No payment of any kind is accepted from patients or their families, nor from the government. In accordance with their Rule, the Sisters place their trust in the loving providence of God. That trust has never failed. Donations large and small, from groups and individuals, have provided and continues to provide the necessary funds to support the work. The family has a connection with this facility as Dr. Daniel Gallagher served as the onsite doctor for the facility in Hawthorne for over 30 years helping the residence and staff of nuns. Bless all those who serve the unfortunate and work tirelessly to make final days here on earth more comfortable.
