In 2001, a Ho***rs waitress in Panama City Beach, Florida, entered a beer sales contest at her restaurant. The prize? A new Toyota. She worked hard, outsold every other waitress, and won.

Then came the prank.

Her manager blindfolded her and led her to the parking lot with great fanfare. When the blindfold came off, she was standing in front of a Star Wars Yoda action figure. A "Toy Yoda." The management thought it was hilarious. They called it an April Fools joke.

She hired a lawyer and sued Gulf Coast Wings, Inc. — the company that owns the Ho***rs franchise — for breach of contract and fraudulent misrepresentation. Her argument was straightforward: a promise is a promise, and she had delivered exactly what was asked of her. The fact that the prize was announced on April 1 did not make it legal to deceive an employee into believing she had won something she had not.

The case settled in 2002. The exact amount was kept confidential, but her attorney confirmed that the settlement was enough for Berry to walk into any Toyota dealership and choose whatever car she wanted — with money left over.

The lesson Ho***rs learned that year was an expensive one. When you make a promise to someone who has earned it, calling it a joke afterward is not a legal defense. It is just a reason to get sued.

While Democrats held signs outside airports demanding ICE be defunded, abolished, and driven out of existence - an ICE agent inside JFK Airport was saving a one-year-old baby’s life with his bare hands. A terrified father rushed to the agent holding his limp unresponsive son.

The agent did not hesitate for a single second. Back blows. Chest thrusts. The obstruction cleared. The baby came back. The father got to take his son home. 🇺🇸

Nothing. Silence. Because it does not fit the narrative that the men and women enforcing American immigration law are villains. The truth is they are heroes - fathers and mothers themselves who show up every single day to do one of the hardest jobs in America while politicians demonize them, protesters block their vehicles, and activist judges tie their hands. They protect American communities from criminal illegal aliens and they save babies in airport security lines and they do it all without asking for a single word of thanks.

Democrats tried to shut down the government to defund these people. They tried to brand them as the enemy. They lost. Because the American people know exactly who the real heroes are - and it is not the politicians playing games with their paychecks. God bless every ICE agent. God bless the hero at JFK. That little boy is alive because of them.
