What started as a fun way to connect and overshare has had its fair share of flaws and shake-ups over the years. But in our minds, the one thing that still gives social media its purpose, the reason any of us are still here, is YOU. US. PEOPLE.

So today isn't about the algorithms or the billionaires. It's about the creators, the small businesses, the accounts that make you laugh, think, or feel a little less alone at 11PM...1AM? 4AM?

Because without us? There'd be nothing to doomscroll. No cat memes. No therapy-replacement content of any kind.

We say most of this in jest, of course. 😅

So celebrate accordingly! Drop the businesses and creators that keep you coming back in the comments and share them with your whole network. They deserve it.
