Last month our paper wrote a story about Jamie Borglum's plans to traverse the Boundary Waters on a solo canoe trip.

We are sad to hear he had to postpone the trip as this was a challenge he had long planned for and hope he will find a new adventure to help him achieve his goal of stepping out of his comfort zone.

As you know Jamie has been planning and training for his solo BWCA Border Route trip for months. Unfortunately, because of the forest fires and Boundary Waters Area Closure his trip will have to wait till next year. 😔

We at CrawDaddy Outdoors are extremely grateful for the men and women fighting these fires to protect lives and our precious wilderness areas and pray for thier safety. 🙏

That said...

We ALL agree Jamie still needs a break! He's decided he wants to spend some time paddling new stretches of local rivers in Iowa, southern Minnesota and SW Wisconsin.
