THE SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OFTHE SICK
This sacrament of healing will be celebrated at Saturday and Sunday morning Masses on two weekends this month: JULY 11/12 at St. Anne and JULY 18/19 at Eastside Parishes. Watch for more information explaining this sacrament and who might want to take advantage of this opportunity. Incorrect dates were given in previous emails.
AND ... here is a link to a previous, very helpful conversation with Fr. Mike Joncas explaining this sacrament of healing and hope.
HERE ARE THE READINGS to review as you prepare for Mass this coming Sunday. You can read them or listen to them.
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Church of the Resurrection. It’s an opportunity to break from our routine, if possible, and to spend time in prayer before the Eucharistic Lord. “Let us rediscover adoration,” Pope Francis once said, “for to adore is not to waste time, but to make our time a dwelling-place for God.”
WE SAY FAREWELL AND THANK YOU to long-time St. Anne Maintenance Director Timm Hollis as we also welcome Will Christian to that role. Timm has served the parish for 25 years, but has been a member of the parish his entire life. He not only knew how to do his job well, but he also knew the people and our history, as well as the facilities and grounds - better than anyone possibly could. For his part, Will has worked in facility maintenance and management since 2019 and brings considerable knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm to his work at St. Anne. Timm and Will have worked together the past several weeks. Best wishes to Timm in retirement and to Will in his new role!
