2 day recap!
Friday night we made some quick changes before qualifying and were able to pick up some speed and qualify 9th. We then went on to start outside front row in the 1st 60 lapper of the weekend. We got out to the lead, then after possibly wrong lane choice on a restart we fell to 3rd. The car was good enough to settle in and ride there until we started having engine trouble for the first time all weekend. The car faded and then died, ending our night early.

Saturday the team worked hard to resolve the problem, and evidently could not get it resolved.
That said our luck did flip as we were able to just barely hang on to win the 2nd 60 lap feature of the weekend! For the final 60 lapper we started 12th, and had worked to 8th early on and had started to real in the lead group when the car had other plans. It started to sputter and run bad and from there I was just trying to hang on until the closing laps. A yellow came out with 2 to go, and we would line up 8th. Luckily the car ran better for the last 2 laps, and some of the cars in front of us started getting wild and we were able to take advantage by keeping our nose clean and pick up 2 more spots ending in 6th, just inches from 5th place.

Overall a fun weekend and I can’t thank my crew and sponsors enough! Thanks to Aaron Larson for spotting, Dean, Lou, Lori and all of the Casey Johnson racing crew for getting me the best car they could.
