A big thank you to Random Lake Fire Department for sharing these great photos from a scene call earlier this summer.

From landing on a closed roadway to lifting off after the call, these photos show the coordination it takes between local first responders, law enforcement, and our flight crew when a helicopter is requested.

We’re grateful for the work Random Lake Fire Department and other local agencies do to help keep scenes safe and make sure patients get the care they need as quickly and safely as possible.

As communities across Wisconsin celebrate Independence Day, we’re grateful for the first responders, health care teams, dispatchers, and public safety partners who continue to serve when they’re needed most.

We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend. Please celebrate responsibly and leave the fireworks to the professionals.

Today, we had the privilege of celebrating Dan Unruh as he retires after 15 years of service with ThedaStar and PHI Air Medical.

Dan has been a trusted pilot, teammate, and friend to so many. Throughout his time with the program, he has helped transport more than 1,600 patients, playing an important role in safely connecting them with the care they needed.

This morning, a group of current and former medical crew, communicators, pilots, mechanics, and leaders gathered to thank Dan for his dedication, professionalism, and service to our patients and communities.

Congratulations, Dan, and thank you for 15 years of outstanding service. We wish you all the best in retirement!

Thank you to the Town of Wi******er Fire Department for having us out for landing zone safety training last week.

LZ training is a great opportunity for our flight crew and local first responders to work together and strengthen the coordination that helps keep everyone safe when a helicopter is requested.
