Angela Lahr and her husband received a pair of brown Pier 1 barstools for a wedding gift years ago and she knew this new fabric by Vanguard would be the perfect way to update them. If I had a place for these chic new barstools, I’d be trying to keep them!

Hello everybody! Who else feels like the past 10 months have been some of the longest of their life?! I’ve been away for a bit to spend extra time with my son before he graduated and I bought this beauty. Meet my 1965 mid century ranch and I’m so excited to share the transformation with you. One thing I wanted to change right away was the front door. From 80’s arched window with brass to mid century side light windows which I am painting black.

I bought my townhome over 4 years ago and it is a continual work in progress but I love the work. I have been dreaming of using a deep green in my home somewhere and this little 1/2 bath was the perfect place to try it. The fixtures in the bath are chrome and I didn’t want to change them but I REALLY wanted aged brass with that luscious green. Can you mix metals? Yes you can! Think of it like an accent color and incorporate a few things to tie it all together. A new mirror, shelf brackets and cabinet hardware were the perfect balance.
