The road to the USATF Junior Olympics ends here 🏆🇺🇸

A small group of our outdoor Tempo Run Team athletes are headed to the USATF Midwest Regional Championships in Nebraska this weekend with one goal: compete at the highest level and earn a spot at the USATF Junior Olympic National Championships!

We’re beyond proud of the work that’s been put in by this group of our athletes to get here. Now it’s time to trust the process, compete with confidence, and represent the D1 Tempo Run Club with pride!

What a weekend across the country for the Tempo Run Team!

Despite battling nonstop rain and less-than-ideal conditions on finals day, our athletes showed incredible perseverance and represented our club at a truly elite level. Every Tempo Run Team athlete who competed in Ames this weekend qualified for the USATF Midwest Regionals in at least one event 🤩

Tomorrow, Tay Seals takes the national stage in the Championship Division of the 110m hurdles at Nike Outdoor Nationals in Eugene, Oregon!

After another outstanding scholastic season, the Iowa 3A 2x state champion and state record holder of CCA HS enters this meet ranked among some of the nation’s best and ready to compete for a spot in the finals. His work ethic, consistency, and commitment to improvement have put him in position for a big performance when it matters most.

No matter the outcome, we’re proud to have Tay representing the Tempo Run Team and the D1 Tempo Run Club on one of the biggest stages in high school track & field ‼️

🚨 NEW COACH ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

Announcing our final coaching hire for Summer 2026! Please join us in welcoming Gabe Chayee to the D1 Tempo Run Club coaching staff ‼️

A graduate of Waukee High School and current division one sprinter at Liberty University, Gabe recently graduated from Iowa Western Community College, where he continued to establish himself as one of Iowa’s top sprint athletes after being a part of the OG D1 Tempo Run Club crew when we first opened for business back in 2023!

Throughout his career, Gabe has been a 7x Iowa State Qualifier, 2x Iowa State Medalist, 3x Drake Relays Qualifier, 3x Drake Relays Finalist, New Balance Nationals Qualifier, and former all-time Iowa state record holder in the 4x100m relay.

Specializing in the 60m and 100m, Gabe owns personal bests of 6.89 in the 60m and 10.63 in the 100m, giving him firsthand experience competing at an elite level against some of the fastest athletes in the country at national-level meets.

Gabe is passionate about helping the next generation of athletes develop sprint mechanics, acceleration, speed development, and race-day confidence. His competitive experience, technical knowledge, and passion for coaching will be a tremendous asset to athletes across all age groups and ability levels!
