We had a kind of rainy Jane's Walk on Saturday but we still managed some cool prints of manhole covers in Waterville! Once we have some photos of the earlier walk at 11, we will post them. :) For more info on Jane's Walk, try here. https://janeswalkme.org/

Tonight is FIRST FRIDAY! Time to get out and have an adventure in downtown. Holy Cannoli has music from Heartbroke from 5:30-7, Bomba de Aqui (Afro- Puertan Rican music!) begins at Greene Block + Studios at 6pm, the arts center and Waterville Creates has art making, free food, an art reception for Painted Fiction, and MORE! The second weekend of Once Upon a Mattress begins this evening at the Waterville Opera House; the reviews are AMAZING. Plus, the arts center is hosting the Whimsical Monsters of Winslow, which are works from students of Winslow public schools. All is free and open to the public. WHAT AN AWESOME NIGHT!! If you want more info, check the Waterville Creates or Colby Arts Office calendars. (the photo is a sneak peak into the Ticonic Gallery exhibit Painted Fiction on view NOW.)

This Saturday is Jane's Walk day in Maine! What is a Jane's Walk? Jane’s Walk is a festival of free, volunteer-led walking conversations inspired by community activist Jane Jacobs. The walks combine the simple act of exploring a place with personal observations, local history, and civic engagement. Come explore in Waterville! There are two walks, one at 11 at the Lockwood Building with the Waterville Historical Society and one at 1pm Waterville Creates heading down to the Head of Falls area. Here is more about it!
Jane’s Walk ME: Manhole Cover Prints in Waterville City design is something we often do not notice. Come explore the designs on our city and make a print of a manhole cover here in downtown!

Great day down in S**o representing Discover Waterville at a Main Street workshop focused on building stronger downtowns and sustainable communities.
From fundraising strategies to revitalization efforts, it’s clear that collaboration between local municipal government, businesses, and community leaders is what drives real impact. We are excited to bring these ideas back home and continue pushing Discover Waterville forward.
Today Paul, Serena and Shawn proudly represented our cities affiliate program and was apart of the conversations shaping Maine’s future.
