More precious lives are in grave danger of euthanasia at the Wichita, KS Animal Shelter.

Deadlines are getting shorter and shorter. "Behavior" dogs are receiving the least amount of time, followed by medical. We have been getting pounded with one round of deadlines after another, it is relentless and exhausting but they need us. They need YOU!

Their lives matter just as much as the others. ALL of their lives matter.

Please help, there's not much time.

They each require a direct adopter (if eligible) or rescue tag for approved foster/adopter by their final deadline or they will lose their innocent lives. 💔😥

VISIT the Wichita Animal Shelter at 3303 N Hillside, Wichita, KS. You may visit the dogs but cannot remove them from kennels. Photo ID required.

DIRECT ADOPT INSTRUCTIONS: dog adoptions through the Kansas Humane Society are $180 - includes neuter, microchip, basic vaccinations (excludes rabies), heartworm test, exam, etc. To place hold, contact the KHS admissions department in person (if local) or call (316) 524-9196 x207 (if not local). If no answer, leave a message stating you want to adopt a dog at the animal shelter; include the animal number of the dog you are interested in AND a return phone number. Allow 24 hours for a response. Repeated calls and messages delay response time. Once a hold is placed, pick up is scheduled through KHS within a few days -- no same day pickups! NOTE: please do not place a hold if you don't intend to adopt. Holds to "buy time" make others think the dog is safe, they prevent anyone else from being able to place a real hold, and they place the dog in immediate euth danger when you don't show!

FOR RESCUE TAGS ONLY: licensed rescues email the Kansas Humane Society rescue coordinator at [email protected] with questions or to tag this dog. Any licensed rescue in ANY state can pull this dog. Please allow 24 hours for a response.

FOR FOSTERS/ADOPTERS: apply online at www.beautiesandbeasts.org OR contact any rescue near you if you are outside of Kansas. B&B fosters must reside in KS per state licensing regulations; additional foster requirements are listed on our website. Adopters may apply from out of state. Please note: ALL B&B approved applicants must travel to Wichita for introductions!

***Note: This dog is NOT in our care, it is at the Wichita, KS Animal Shelter, a city run shelter. Beauties & Beasts is an independent state-licensed 501c3 foster based rescue located in Wichita, KS. Our volunteers visit the animals at the local shelter & network to save them from euthanasia. We are not permitted to do any testing to assess for dog, cat or kid friendliness while they are in the care of the shelter.
