Your family photo session *probably* won’t go perfectly according to plan, but that’s 100% normal!
Sweet Ellis here decided against a nap on the day of his first photoshoot, so we snapped as many as possible before he inevitably started to fuss. I faded into the background and let momma bounce him to sleep, which resulted in some of my favorite shots, and then we resumed capturing the cuteness with a now smooshy, sleeping babe. This is all to say that I have had the pleasure of photographing many families, and I’m prepared to improvise in order to deliver. It always seems like the photos you love the most are the ones you didn’t plan on snapping!

This happens every time! For every shoot, I’ve got a shot-list in my head all day long that’s slowly being checked off, one by one. Just like every other time, the shot that wasn’t on on my list ends up one of my favorite ones 😜
