“On the eleventh day of support, PWC shared with me…
…eleven reminders that you’re human first.”
You’re allowed to feel tired.
To feel stressed.
To feel overwhelmed.
To need support.
To take breaks.
To step back.
To rest deeply.
To care for yourself.
To feel emotions fully.
To ask for help.
To be supported in return.
Your humanity is not separate from your service, it’s central to it.

“On the eighth day of support, PWC shared with me…
…eight hours of rest, whenever you can get them.”
Let’s be honest: eight uninterrupted hours of sleep in this line of work is basically a holiday miracle. Between calls, shift changes, family obligations, and the general chaos of December, rest doesn’t exactly show up on schedule.
But here’s the thing, it still matters.
Even if it’s broken up.
Even if it’s a nap in the middle of the afternoon.
Even if it’s you finally knocking out the second you sit down for “just a minute.”
Rest isn’t weakness.
It’s maintenance.
Take it whenever it shows up, even if it looks nothing like the sleep schedule your doctor keeps telling you about.
You spend all day protecting others.
You’re allowed to recharge, too.
