Remembering Joe: Friends, family reflect on local man’s impact after battle with glioblastoma WATERTOWN — In a Facebook post earlier this year during his battle with glioblastoma multiforme, Joseph “Joe” R. Nunez wrote:

This week we went over Joes scan results with Joes team of doctors.

Thankfully, most of Joes tumors are showing a decrease in size. 🤗 especially the cerebellum tumor which grew to be such a significant size has shrunk down on one size 2 cm - which is quite a bit in two months.

I will say we are far from where he needs to be to be mobile on his own again, as the last few months have put a strain on his body. Doctors are unsure as to what exactly did it so quickly.

We thank you all for the support, especially over the last few months. Thank you all for the past fundraising as he does need my care at home, and it’s such a stress relief to know I can be at home at not worry tremendously.

His next scan will be in November. 🤍🤍
