Ed McLean Retires as Chairman Monroe County, IL — After ten years of dedicated service to the Monroe County Republican Party, Chairman Ed McLean has announced his retirement.

On this day in 1854, the Republican Party was established in Ripon, Wisconsin, when a group of men came together to form an anti-slavery coalition to meet the growing danger it posed to the country.
