SPPCS Fine Arts

Introducing the 2021-2022 SPPCS Beginning 5th Grade Band! I am proud to say that 63% of our school’s 5th graders are in band! Great job guys!

Our pre-k students jammed some quarter notes and eighth notes last Friday. We read basic rhythms on our Smartboard. They did a great job and had a blast!

Thanks to all of the band kiddos that showed up for band class today. My general music students loved the new music room and our new Smart board! We are going to have a great year! I’m very optimistic for our journey we have ahead of us. I was able to make our rehearsals outside be equipped with a rechargeable PA system, rechargeable amps and a battery operated keyboard. We have a tent outside to help shade and protect our band rehearsals! The advanced band received their new method books and new jazz books. We had a great turnout for our beginning band and our intermediate band will be able to rehearse all three days as an entire band. We had a busy day, but a good start to a wonderful year. I can’t wait until Wednesday. I promise to get some pictures of our great band students. We can do this! Thank you Mrs. Matzenbacher for leading the way!
