Koats 4 Kids - Waterloo

We can use a little help. We had quite a few more requests this year for winter gear and can really use more fleece scarves. The kids love picking out a scarf and hat to wear with their new coat. You should see their smiles!

Its very short notice but we need them in the next couple of weeks. We are still sorting out items and we do NOT have any distribution days set yet so we have some time.

I have LOTS of fleece on hand that has been donated so no need to buy more. I can drop it off or you can pick it up, just let me know. You will need a rotary cutter to cut the fleece. If you want to rotary cut and let someone else cut the fringe we might be able to arrange that. Cutting the fringe only requires a pair of scissors.

Please let me know if you can make a few. Maybe you can ask a friend or two to help!

On this beautiful snowy day I thought I would share more pictures and give you a little update.

We shared 1159 new warm coats, 1043 boots, 850 boots and hundreds of hats, gloves and scarves with our community kids.

I am grateful thinking about our kids staying warm while they play in the snow today with their new winter gear. Thanks to generous people in Black Hawk County, we were able to help so many kids.

We also had a very dedicated group of volunteers this year that helped at multiple schools. Thank you for your time. We hope you enjoyed the kids. I always do.

Making sure our kids are warm and dry in our cold Iowa winters is a wonderful thing you all do! THANKS for caring.
