“On the road again, I just can't wait...” W***y Nelson had the right idea! So off we go. Sharon and I will soon be on our way to sunny Florida. We're running along the Mississippi until we get to Cape Girardeau, MO then taking a turn east toward Paducah. Maybe spend a nite there then head on south toward Memphis. Then to Atlanta. We'll end up in the Tampa area. We'd love to stop and visit with anyone along the way that's been thinking about taking great things to market. We'll be happy to talk about what Dan Morphy and I can do to make sure you get your great pieces in one of the GREAT auctions lined up for the next year! Just a week away. Next Saturday the 27th it happens! looking back about 125 years ago a drug store opened in Fairbank Iowa. For years it served the community and for a hundred years business evolved through the property up until 25 years ago. The store has been closed since then and now it's time to send the century's worth of gatherings off to new homes! Selling at Auction, the contents of the Welsh Drug & Sundries at 109 Main St. in Fairbank Iowa. Counters, wall units, shelving units, barber chairs, stoneware of all kinds, glassware, Hutchinson and Torpedo soda bottles, everything sells. Advertising signs & displays, drug store primitives, mortar & pestals, wood boxes and all kinds of stuff still buried and in drawers we haven't gotten open yet. Auction starts at 10:00 am. Doors open at 8:00 am. This is just like the auction days used to be. No internet, absentee or phone bids, onsite only. Just for the folks that like an old school auction that's great for picking!!
