Iowa educators rally for more public school funding Educators rallied across Iowa, calling for increased funding for public schools.

There’s always enough money to bomb schools, but never enough money to fund them at home. There’s always enough money to cut taxes for the wealthiest, but never enough to feed and house those in need. There’s always enough money to bail out banks and businesses, but never enough to help folks afford health care or college. Fundamentally our system does not work. And that’s a problem.

I'll be watching to see if the mayor and his allies on council will show as much concern for a potential multi million dollar lawsuit over property as they were about a potential lawsuit over an effort to protect children from torture.
