Cedar Valley Hospice
Every day at Cedar Valley Hospice, we are honored to share in some of life’s most meaningful moments. When families reach out to share their gratitude for the care they received, their words of thanks belong to you, too. Your generosity makes this possible for all:
A nurse to sit a little longer, holding a hand when words are no longer needed.
An aide to make life a little easier by bringing comfort and dignity to everyday moments.
A music therapist to ease fears and calm the soul.
Be a part of what makes these moments possible. Consider donating today at cvhospice.org/annual-campaign

Grief can change someone's life in many ways. They may become more closed off, or they might want to be around others frequently. Because everyone grieves differently, it can be hard to provide support - but the best tool is acknowledgement.
Providing grievers a safe space to navigate their feelings is important in their individual grief journey. Cedar Valley Hospice offers free grief support to anyone in the community who has experienced the death of a loved one. To learn more, visit https://www.cvhospice.org/services/grief-support/
You may have heard of hospice or palliative care, but do you know the difference between them?
Hospice care is for individuals who have been diagnosed with a serious, life-limiting illness, have a prognosis of six months or less and no longer wish to pursue curative treatment. Patients receiving hospice services are prioritizing quality of life instead of the number of days remaining.
Palliative care is also for those who have a life-limiting diagnosis, but they may still be receiving curative treatment or have a prognosis of longer than six months. Palliative care patients receive help navigating the healthcare system and managing symptoms.
Both hospice and palliative care patients receive physical and emotional support. To learn more about how hospice or palliative care can help, visit https://www.cvhospice.org/early-support/
