Prospect Light Show

It is with great sadness that we have decided to end the Prospect Light Show after seven years and approximately 259 shows. 😞 Jimbo had an injury last year that will prevent the set up and tear down of the equipment and props.

We have a lot of memories and much to be thankful for. 🙏🏻 We raised over $15,000 dollars for St. Judes Children Hospital, we hosted Santa Claus 🎅 and watched thousands of boys and girls, sing and dance while watching our show. 🥰

This all started with a few lights decorating our house then Jimbo found out that "Hey...I can make these few lights DANCE to music." 💃🏼🕺The very next year there was a non-programmed 8 circuit simple light show in our front yard. 😆

When we moved to Prospect, Jimbo decided to raise the bar and we went from a few “dancing” lights to a fully programmed show with the songs and lights to the music that you recognize over the past few years. In the final years we had a 30 minute show, with eight songs, thousands of LED lights, hundreds of circuits, multiple controllers and miles of extension cords. ❤️

We have had a great time creating and growing the Prospect Light Show and we want to thank everyone who came out and supported us. 😍 Thanks for choosing to come to our show to make Christmas memories with your friends and families.

This is official the last day of the year. Historically, it is a time of reflection and a time to set goals for the upcoming year. 🤔

Those who decide to create a Christmas Light Show are a little wonky. 🤪 (IMO) They are wired differently so to speak. The “light show season” in itself, is short but the “ planning” season is long.

We received a message from another show in our area who summed it up perfectly. “6 months of planning, 3 months of building, 4 weeks of lights and then it all gets put away.” 😞

Jim turned off the show on Monday and on Tuesday started talking about next year and immediately started added to his ongoing list. 🥴

He is committed to a 2022 show and it will start on Thanksgiving Day and end the Monday after Christmas, that is all I can tell you for certain, everything else is still clanking around in his head and I am not sure where it will land. 😋

My job in all of this is to communicate to all of you. 😳 As we ring in the New year I would like to thank all the people who support not only our show but the many great shows in the Cedar Vally. We are blessed 😇 with so many. 💜

I also WANT to send a huge THANK YOU 🙏🏻 to our gracious NEIGHBORS who put up with the traffic, loud stereos and over 50,000 flashing lights. 😂 They are the best!! 💜💛💜💛

A special shout out to Bear and Joanie (Jessie Gress Ott )who make us smile 😊 and keeps Jim on his toes. 😉 He does this mostly for the children and they bring us the most joy!
