Hope Tree Counseling Services is an out- patient mental health counseling agency located on an urban farm on ten acres in Waterloo, Iowa. Hope Tree is dedicated to serving families and individuals from Waterloo and surrounding areas. Seeking a fully licensed LMHC, LMFT or LISW therapist, but will consider temp. licensed LMHCt or LMSW. Experience working with children required and experience working with youth and families preferred. Additional trauma informed training preferred. Currently seeking part time with a minimum requirement of 10 sessions per week and full time minimum of 25 sessions per week. Must be available to work at least two evenings a week. Seeking unique, engaged individuals to join our collaborative creative team!

Successful Candidates:

Will have a dedication to working with diverse populations and a strong multi-cultural competency as evidenced by training, experience and education and/or desire to grow competency in this area.
Masters or Doctoral Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Masters in Social Work, PhD Psychology

Prefer fully licensed mental health professional in the State of Iowa (LMHC, LMFT, LISW ), but will consider LMHCt or LMSW.

Additional qualifications or experience in treating trauma a plus.
Interest and experience in using technology and availability in providing telehealth services
Desirable candidates will have additional training for example: credentials in RPT (registered play therapist) EMDR, Somatic Reprocessing, or AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy) or other trauma informed applications.
Openness and or experience working with nature and animal assisted practices. Interest and/or experience in Equine Assisted Mental Health or general equine experience a plus.

PRIMARY CLINICAL DUTIES:
Complete Diagnostic Assessment and Intakes
Manage psychotherapy notes, intake/ assessment data and treatment plan documentation in Theranest EHR
Complete outpatient treatment plans with clear and measurable clinical and counseling goals.
Demonstrate competent use of DSM-V and have competence in assigning clinical diagnosis
Adjust their approach/ interventions to the specific needs and developmental levels of each client

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour
