We were honored to welcome Waterloo Mayor Dave Boesen, Debi Durham, Director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, and Noel Anderson, Waterloo Community Planning & Development Coordinator, to the Waterloo Career Center!

The tour was led by our own Secretary, Ceonte Brown, Future Assistant Principal Josh Barta, and Waterloo United Principal Zach O'Brien. It was a great opportunity to showcase the incredible work happening at the Career Center and the impact it's making on students and our community.

☀️ Free Summer Meals are Back for 2026! 🍎
School might be out soon, but the cafeteria is staying open! The Waterloo Community School District is thrilled to announce our participation in the 2026 Summer Food Service Program.

We’re making sure our students stay fueled and ready for summer fun with FREE meals for all children ages 18 and under. No registration, no paperwork, and no charge—just show up and eat!

Important Note for 2026:
To keep things fresh and safe, all meals must be enjoyed on-site this year. Grab a seat, catch up with friends, and enjoy a healthy meal on us! 🥗🥛

Meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis at the following locations and times on the graphic.

📢 Important Update Regarding Middle School CTE Summer Camp

It is with heavy hearts that we announce we will not be holding our annual Middle School CTE Summer Camp this year.

As many of you know, our campus is currently undergoing major construction in preparation for Waterloo United. Because parts of the campus will be inaccessible throughout the summer months, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s program to ensure everyone's safety and the quality of the experience.

Looking Ahead:
We fully intend to bring camp back better than ever next year! Please keep an eye out for registration information and updates in March 2027.

Why the extra day? Monday, May 11, was originally reserved as a potential snow make-up day. Since we didn't need it this year, students get to keep that day off as originally scheduled! ❄️☀️
