Our Welding Technology students recently had the opportunity to tour Heartland Fabrication in Brownsville, PA, and see firsthand how large-scale manufacturing projects come together.

Students followed the barge construction process from start to finish, learning how individual steel plates are fabricated, assembled, welded, blasted, painted, inspected, and prepared for service. Experiences like this help bridge the gap between classroom training and real-world industry applications.
