Halfway through our six-week , our fellows have immersed themselves in some of the great works of political thought—from 's to 's , , , and the study of American art and ideals.
Beyond the classroom, they've explored Washington, including the new Lincoln Undercroft Museum, and learned from an extraordinary group of public servants and scholars, including Vice President Mike Pence, Senator Tom Cotton, Dr. Harvey Mansfield, Secretary Mike Pompeo, Yuval Levin, and many others.

Meet our 2026 Summer Fellows from Stanford University!
Leiden Brueschke is a rising junior studying Classics and Economics. He participated in the Hoover Institution’s National Security Affairs Mentorship Program and organizes debates for Stanford's Political Union. An American, Leiden lived abroad in Hong Kong and the U.K. before returning to the U.S. for college.
Jack Magidson is a rising sophomore studying International Relations and History. He is interested in national security, jazz, geography, and travelling. Jack is from New York.
Bella Meyer is a rising junior studying International Relations and military-specialized History. She is an AI and Defense Technology Researcher at Cosmic Capital, a United States Senate Youth Program Alumni, and co-founder of the nonprofit LiberTeach. Bella is from Nebraska.
Britt Nordquist is a rising junior studying Classics and Economics. She is President of Women's Club Lacrosse, Vice President of her sorority, and is a contributor to the Stanford Daily newspaper. Britt is also a research assistant to General H.R. McMaster at the Hoover Institution.

This summer, 16 fellows and 1 TA will join us for the 2026 Security Studies Program. Fellows will spend five weeks studying the most pressing threats to American national security with practitioner-scholars. This outstanding cohort includes ROTC cadets, a U.S. Army veteran, and an advisor to a U.K. Member of Parliament.

This summer, 32 fellows will join us for the 2026 Political Studies Program. Fellows will spend six weeks this summer studying the theory and practice of politics alongside outstanding peers and master teachers. This cohort includes several student-athletes, a flutist, pianist, and composer, a Midshipman, a Boren Scholar, and a Truman and Marshall Scholar–elect.
