On Saturday, May 2nd, and Sunday, May 3rd, The Sovereign will host two private guided tastings of Trappist Ales. Our very own Greg Engert, NRG Beverage Director, will lead you through 9 of his favorite Trappist Ales.

Trappist beer must be brewed by, or under the direct supervision of, monks belonging to the Cistercians of the Strict Observance (the Trappist order), within the walls of a Trappist monastery, and in accordance with strict standards set by the International Trappist Association (ITA). Over time, the number of Trappist breweries has fluctuated. There are currently 8 active Trappist breweries in the world.

Together, we will explore a range of Trappist ales, including a 3-year vertical tasting of Orval. Tickets are $55 per guest, excluding taxes and fees. The private tastings begin at 12:00 PM both days. Each guest will receive nine (9) taster pours of Trappist ale.

The Sovereign is honored to join the best beer bars and breweries from across the globe in hosting Cantillon's prestigious Zwanze Day!

The Zwanze 2026 beers (yes, there are 2 this year!) will be served at 3 PM, as we join the other Zwanze Day locations in a worldwide toast.

For this year’s Zwanze beers, Cantillon worked with Vermouth Sullivan. Artémis La Blanche, is a blend of a dry, white Vermouth with Lambic. Artémis La Rouge, is a blend of a sweet, red Vermouth with Kriek.

We will also feature 9 additional Cantillon drafts along with a selection of Cantillon bottles, and a limited amount of lambic gift sets. Zwanze Day shirts and glassware will also be available.

All Cantillon drafts will be available at 10 AM, except for the Zwanze beers, which will be served at 3 PM. There is no admission fee for this event. Zwanze pours and seating will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
