What was originally designed to take place at a Smithsonian museum in Washington, DC, quickly became a true test of adaptability, collaboration, and problem-solving under pressure for the Maximus 50th Anniversary Gala.

After more than a year of planning an experience tailored specifically to the museum’s layout, logistics, and operational requirements, a government shutdown just three weeks before the event forced us to completely pivot and reimagine the celebration from the ground up.

From securing an entirely new venue to redesigning the guest experience, rebuilding production and logistical plans, and coordinating rapid adjustments across every vendor and operational touchpoint, our team moved quickly to rebuild the event in a way that still felt seamless, intentional, and worthy of the moment.

Despite the challenges, the final celebration at the National Cathedral came together seamlessly, and we could not be prouder of what we accomplished through trust, collaboration, and an incredible team effort.
