Meet Aishwarya from , one of our newest Fellows from Class 51!

Aishwarya begins her Atlas Corps journey as an American India Foundation Fellow and is serving at Northwestern Buffett Institute for Global Affairs as their Global Engagement Programs Fellow.

Today, she shares with us leadership lessons and her goals for the .

1. What inspires you most as a leader?

"For me, leadership means inspiring and guiding people toward a shared vision. Excellent leaders are those who listen and exhibit empathy, foster trust and empower others to achieve their best. Basically, serving as role models who lead by example."

2. What are you most excited about joining Atlas Corps as a Fellow?

"I am most excited about experiencing a new country and culture, receiving mentorship from leaders in the social sector, and networking with diverse stakeholders all throughout my Fellowship."

3. What is your position at Northwestern University, Buffett Institute for Global Affairs and what do you hope to gain from the experience?

"I will be serving as the Global Engagement Programs Fellow at Northwestern University, Buffett Institute for Global Affairs. I am excited to help in the following end-to-end management of programs at the Global Engagement Studies Institute (GESI): assessment, event planning, partnership management, marketing, recruitment, curriculum development, and alum engagement. I hope to practice relationship building skills with partners, participants and donors and learn how to engage diverse stakeholder groups through organizational communications."
