4th of July. 15 Days After Juneteenth.

Today there will be cookouts, social gatherings, or just a day of rest. There will be music, dancing, laughter, and somebody slamming down on a card table.

Today my beautiful melanated community, those who always create joy in spaces that weren’t built for us, will celebrate.

But let’s be honest. Our freedom isn’t fireworks. Not when so many of us still don’t feel safe or seen.

Today ESDC PR reflects on what freedom actually means. For our community. For ourselves. For generations to come.

My Friday Business Thoughts…

There’s a saying that friends will cheer you on but may not always support. Well, I’m grateful to have friends who did both—cheered me on, supported my first sale, and became a client. 💙

After stepping away to work for a firm, I chose to return to my business and rebuild. Every bit of support matters—whether it’s a purchase, a share, or an encouraging word. Building something from the ground up is a journey, and I appreciate every way people show up.
