“Protecting Your Peace & Cultivating Q***r Joy” is a free 1.5-hour workshop – Via Zoom discussing boundaries, resilience, and forms of resistance for the LGBTQ+ community in the Washington, DC, region. We hope you leave with new skills and support to help you make it through an increasingly hostile political and media landscape.
We encourage you to find a private and comfortable spot to join the Zoom. Plan to arrive on time as no one will be let in after 7pm. This will include a period of imaginative reflection so feel free to bring a journal or art supplies, but it is not required.
Registration is required. If you are interested in joining us on Wednesday, April 2nd, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., please register at https://thedccenter.org/events/peacejoy25/ so we can send you the Zoom information.

The primary mission of the DC Anti-Violence Project is to reduce violence against LGBT individuals (and those perceived as LGBT) through community outreach, education, and monitoring cases to ensure that the rights and dignity of LGBT victims are respected and protected. The DC Anti-Violence Project also seeks to assist victims of anti-LGBT violence by advocating on their behalf, encouraging reporting, and providing a community of support.
