Today is the day when Studio Lacombe transitions from "In Season" to "Off Season." For me that means going from 60/65-hour work weeks to 40-hour weeks. My dedication to my art and my gallery dominates my life in many ways, and no matter how much I love interacting with all my clients in the "in" season, I always look forward to catching my breath a bit in the "off" season as well, and that starts today. It's also a time when I take account of how things are going. This has been my best season in the gallery's 7 years, and I am very proud of that. The year is not over yet though, and I look forward to seeing many returning clients over Halloween and the Holidays. I am also proud that this year, in the giant whirlwind that is the season, I took all the time I needed to take care of myself and prioritize my needs and my health above everything else. I arrive in the fall feeling tired, of course, but not completely depleted and exhausted. And when I feel good, my work looks good, so let's keep that going! Thank you everyone again and again for your support, and see you in the off season! ❤️
