14 years ago today… April 17, 2012.

The day I picked up a mic and put down my basketball for the FIRST time… and unknowingly stepped into my professional career.

5,110+ days
122,000+ hours
7,300,000+ minutes
438,000,000+ seconds

…of building, evolving, and becoming a force on every stage I touch.

What started as “just hosting” turned into keynote speaking.
Turned into international stages.
Turned into authorship.
Turned into becoming a 2x best-selling author.

And to think… I had a completely different plan for my life.

I’m so glad God laughed at mine and replaced it with something far greater than I could’ve ever imagined.

From that very first mic to now — this isn’t luck, this is alignment.

If you’ve ever supported me, booked me, shared my name, or pulled up — today I need you 🤍
Drop a 🎤, show some love, or remind me how long you’ve been rocking with me.

14 years in… and I’m still just getting started.

Standing in the middle of the floor… just me and the silence.

Looking up at those rafters like, “God… you really did that.” 🙏🏾✨

Because if you know my story, you know this wasn’t supposed to look like THIS.
I was once the athlete trying to figure out my next play…
Now I’m center court, mic in hand 🎤, bringing energy to a game I still love — just from a different position.

Full circle doesn’t even begin to cover it. ♻️

This season at the Xfinity Center gave me more than moments… it gave me confirmation.
That I’m walking in purpose. 🙌🏾
That every “no,” every setback, every redirection was setting THIS up.

To the fans, the staff, the players, the energy in that building… thank you for trusting me with your experience 🖤
Every timeout, every promo, every moment on that floor — I felt it.

I was grateful. 🙏🏾
I was proud. 🥹
And I was hungry. 🔥

Because if this is what year 2️⃣ looks like…
I already know what’s coming next is bigger. ⬆️

More arenas. 🏟️
More stages. 🎤
More impact. 🌍

This isn’t the ending…
This is the setup. 💫

Membership Has Its Privileges 😎

While normally I’d make a post about how explosive the week was and what I hosted & how you should’ve been there …the most important moment of this whole weekend was celebrating my dawg!

I had the pleasure of supporting my friend as she made history being Inducted into the CIAA Hall of Fame as the 1st and currently only Bowler ever inducted into the HALL 🤯

AK been legit swinging 200 every game since I’ve met her. Like legit averaging 200! Whe she hit me up and told me she wanted me to be there it was an IMMEDIATE NO BRAINER to be there! By the end of the weekend everyone knew my Dawg was living history! 🙌🏽😂

To be able to support ya friends, not industry but your real friends mannnn that’s different!

Saw my dawgs & mannn look at us NOW 🎬

My Soror’s showed up for me too but them pics shall come later 🤭

And it’s always real love when me and link up! 🫡

With the CIAA Tournament starting today, I can’t help but think about how much this season, this game meant to him. The energy. The culture. The pride. That was his heart.

When people turned their backs on me, he opened the door.

They say everybody needs at least one person who truly sees them.

For me… that was VP / AD Clyde “Cool Mac” Doughty Jr.

At a time when I felt like doors were closing, he did the opposite.
He listened.
He believed me.
He welcomed me home.

And from that moment on… we were locked in.

He didn’t just see me as a former student-athlete with unfinished business.
He saw my gift.
He trusted it.
He invested in it.

BSU Game Day Experience wasn’t just a production — it was his vision to create a CIAA-level atmosphere on campus before the tournament even started. He believed HBCUs could build elite experiences with our own talent, culture, and excellence… and he trusted me to help do it. That kind of leadership is rare.

What people may not know is he carried his own story of being overlooked before Bowie State. He promised himself he would never become the people who hurt him. And he didn’t. Not once.

He was a mentor.
A jokester.
A leader.
A protector of people.

A week before he passed, we popped up on him — laughing like always. I didn’t know it would be the last time I’d see him.

I wasn’t okay at the memorial.
I thought I was… until I wasn’t.

I called him my AD! Because the truth is — I lost someone who helped change my life.

I walked into the gym recently still looking for him… forgetting for a moment he wouldn’t be there.

Thank you for seeing me.
Thank you for trusting me.
Thank you for helping me keep going.

I’m better because you believed.

Rest easy, Cool Mac. 💚🕊️

There was a time I prayed for opportunities like this…
and now I’m living in them.

Every rep. Every no. Every setback.
Every moment I had to keep going when nobody was clapping yet.

This didn’t happen by accident.
This is preparation meeting purpose… in real time.

Grateful to step in this arena and do what I love.🎤🏀
