The next Foresight Europe Network Exchange will be hosted by Oliver Lauenstein. He did an extensive deep dive into the vastness of games and will share his thoughts as well as an immersive experience.

Games can bring fun, interaction and immersion to the table in a way we are currently underutilising. Drawing on the current future games landscape and tabletop role-playing gaming, let us explore this claim together.

🌍 Out Now: The Millennium Project Contribution to New Foresight Volume
The newly released volume “Our World of Futures Studies as a Mosaic 2” (Futures Series 11), published by The Finnish Society for Futures Studies, features a remarkable collaboration from The Millennium Project network.

Launched at the Futures Conference 2026 in Turku, this book brings together perspectives from 5 continents, including key contributions from our Chairs, Co-Chairs, and Node members:

✔Editorial & Europe: Co-edited by Sirkka Heinonen (Helsinki Node), with chapters by Mara Di Berardo (Italy Node) on the Foresight Europe Network (FEN), and Iryna Gerasymenko (Ukraine Node) on foresight in Ukraine.

✔Latin America: Guillermo Gándara Fierro (Mexico Node/RIBER) writes on Mexico 2050 and a decade of RIBER, while Paola Aceituno O. (Mendoza Node) analyzes the institutionalization of futures in Chile.

✔Asia & Oceania: Shermon Cruz (Philippines Node) shares insights on decolonial foresight in the Philippines, while Yuna Lee (South Korea Node) explores US and UK national foresight systems.

This publication shows the power of international cooperation, where regional differences become a source of inspiration and mutual learning.

➡️ 2026 in Spanish: a global reflection on the future of Ibero-America

On March 1, 2026, the World Futures Day in Spanish took place as a major international event co-organized by the Red Iberoamericana de Prospectiva RIBER and The Millennium Project, with the support of 32 institutions across the region.

The initiative brought together a broad and interdisciplinary community of futurists, academics, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to reflect on the key transformations shaping the future of Ibero-America and beyond for ten hours.
