Save the Date!! We are planning an unforgettable gathering, A World of Difference, for November 8th and are so excited!
Keep your schedule open because you will NOT want to miss this event. A World of Difference is not a gala, it's better.
It's Upscale. Immersive. Unforgettable.
This year, we’ll gather at the incredible Atlas Performing Arts Center, a historic and deeply community-rooted space in the heart of DC. Originally built in 1938 as one of H Street’s iconic movie theaters, the Atlas has since been transformed into a thriving performing arts center dedicated to creativity, connection, and community. It’s a space built to celebrate storytelling, artistry, and humanity… which makes it the perfect home for this event.
Get ready to step inside the heartbeat of DCYOP. A night of music, joy, and unforgettable moments where students, alumni, families, and supporters come together to celebrate the mission and the magic behind it.
Unique and impactful sponsorship opportunities are open now! If you or your business would like to sponsor or provide in-kind donations, we would love to have you!

The lights. The music. The moment. Our young musicians have worked all season for this and the stage is finally theirs.
This is the perfect opportunity to hear everything they’ve been working towards and to celebrate their achievements. We would love for you, your family, and friends to be part of this special night, supporting these students and experiencing the joy of live orchestral music. The event is free and open to the public, parking is easy (and free) and this will be one performance any orchestral music lover will enjoy!
Come be inspired by the talent and music of our most advanced orchestra of youth at DCYOP!

- UMD Clarice Smith Center for the Performing Arts
We can’t wait to see you there!
What an unforgettable night. 💛
Our very first Generations Concert brought together students, alumni, families, supporters, and musicians from across DCYOP’s history for something truly special.
From sharing the stage with incredible DCYOP Alum, guest artist Chris Royal, to seeing generations of musicians reconnect through music, this concert was a reminder of what makes this community so meaningful.
To everyone who performed, attended, volunteered, supported, and celebrated with us, thank you for making the first-ever Generations Concert such a powerful night.
This one will stay with us for a long time.

Help us get this plane to South Africa ✈️
We’re kicking off our Summer 2026 International Tour, a 10-day journey where our students will perform the music they’ve worked on all year in new and exciting places around South Africa.
For many of our alumni, this tour is the moment they remember most.
And we are spreading the news about our Bon Voyage appeal to raise $10,000 to help cover the costs of the trip.
Mile 0 starts in Washington, DC and mile 10,000 gets us to South Africa.
Every donation adds miles and moves the plane forward.
No amount is too small, every step gets us closer. With your help we can help support every student on this incredible journey!
Help us make this dream trip possible and land our plane 10,000 miles away! ✈️
