Unstable weather conditions are expected to affect sections of Jamaica over the coming days due to a trough across the central Caribbean.

Expect periods of showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times. Strong gusty winds are also expected, particularly across southern parishes. Marine interests and fishers are advised to exercise extreme caution as sea conditions may deteriorate.

Today, Major General Antony Anderson takes charge of the rebuilding effort with resilience at the center of every project. Hurricane Melissa devastated Jamaica, and has forced us to change the development trajectory, and made this perhaps his most important mission.
I wish him every success in the role.

On Friday I had the opportunity to join MHPM and Min for a tour of Tivoli Gardens. As one of our oldest residential communities it is no surprise that there are significant urgent infrastructure needs.

Our commitment to West Kingston is not in question. The necessary investment in the supporting infrastructure will be clear over the next 12 months.
