Transitional Living Program and DC Basic Center Host Homes
12/10/2025
Hello!!! π£
We are currently recruiting Host Families in PG County to support youth who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of running away. If you live in a home with easy access to Metro or bus lines, have a compassionate heart, and want to make a meaningful impact, weβd love to connect with you.
Our Transitional Living Program and Host Homes Program provide safe housing for youth while we work toward family reunification and long-term stability. Your support can change a young personβs life. ππ
If you or someone you know may be interested, join our next info session: Thursday, December 11th. Scan the QR code on the attached flyer to sign up! If you have questions or want to learn more, feel free to message me directly.
β¨ What a Safe Environment Looks Like β¨
A safe environment isnβt just about physical space β itβs about how people feel when they are in it. Everyone deserves to be in a place where they feel secure, respected, and supported.
β
Respect β People listen to you and value what you say.
β
Trust β You can be yourself without fear of judgment or harm.
β
Boundaries β Rules and expectations are clear and followed fairly.
β
Support β You have someone to turn to if you need help
β
Inclusion β Everyone feels welcomed and valued.
β
Protection β No bullying, no harm, no unsafe behavior.
π± When people feel safe, they are free to grow, learn, and build positive connections. A safe environment builds strong communities, healthy relationships, and brighter futures.
π If you, or someone you know, can provide a safe and supportive environment for youth ages 12β21, we are looking for host families to join our program. π Contact us via DM or email [email protected].
